Our Triumphant return to Mexico
Debbie and I are returning to Mexico!! We leave after the Memorial Day holiday and will visit not one, but THREE distilleries! It is our first time to the Mainland, you may be surprised to know. All previous trips have been road trips south from San Diego in Baja California. This trip is all about the Tequila and how it’s made.
First, we purchased a barrel of Herradura Reposado Tequila, which is the reason for our trip in the first place. We fly into Guadalajara and from there we venture out into the countryside for the Blue Agave fields!! I will take a lot of photographs and I’ll post them right here after we return.
- The Tequila Express rides...
- The Agave Fields of Herradura
- steps up to the Hacienda Herradura
- Selecion Suprema, my favorite tequila
- this is it.
My pics will be a bit more exciting, I’m sure. We won’t receive our barrel, or our tequila for a few months, but you’ll hear all about it when we get it in.
We, unfortunately, don’t get to ride the Tequila Express! That is a Saturday only deal and we just won’t be able to fit it into our schedule.
Talk soon. I’ll be posting to the Facebook page www.facebook.com/tacolu throughout our trip, so keep an eye out there!!
