Forgive me, TacoLu Faithful…
It has been too long since I have posted ANYTHING!!
New Year’s Eve is upon us… Hard to believe another year has gone by. And what a year it was. Last year saw the my departure from Sticky Fingers. I had a great, great experience and great times at the Finger, watching it grow from one little restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, SC, opened by three friends of mine, to opening my own here in Atlantic Beach, FL all the way to 20+ UNITS.
With 2008 came TacoLu. We signed a lease in March, planned on a June 1 opening. Barely made it on July 10 and things have been just swell since. We’ve learned a lot since July. The food gets better and better.
New things planned on the horizon are some pork tacos, carne asada, more fresh fish tacos. I’d like to have a fresh fish board that you could choose from… it’s a bit off in the future, but aside from our AWESOME brunch, which begins at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday, that’s what we’re working on in the new year.
If you haven’t ventured to TacoLu early on Saturday and Sunday morning, then you are missing out. Brunch rocks! The entire menu is available as well, if eggs aren’t your thing, or if you’ve already had breakfast by 10 am… The bar is open! We have great Bloody Maria’s (made with Tequila instead of Vodka!! Excellent), Mimosas, Poinsettias… you can’t get THAT with your Grand Slam at Denny’s!!
