The INAUGURITA was a HUGE hit! It was a great margarita to celebrate the inauguration of the 44th President. Priced at $4.44 for obvious reasons… TacoLu had LOTS and LOTS of people in to watch the ceremonies, the presidential balls and the good times in Washington, D.C. We’re Bringing back the Obama-Rita for the next four to 8 years. It’s a fancy, top shelf margarita made with Hornitos Reposado Tequila, our “Lu Brew” (homemade Sour Mix–fresh lime and lemon Juices and simple syrup), Cointreau and a splash of Grand Marnier…all for around $8. Maybe less depending on the markets, Supreme Court Justice picks and congressional decisions… stay tuned for the Tax Shelter Margarita…
I promised more fresh fish selections and all this week we’ve been working, and continue to work on a great Ceviche. Fresh fish, cured or cooked in Lime juice mixed with tomatoes, onion, chiles, cilantro and garlic make for an incredibly fresh and classic dish. Served with a tostada or tostaditas and a slice of Avocado, it’s amazing! We made it with fresh Grouper this week, but will be using fresh Mahi and Tilapia over the weekend to see what works and tastes best.
January is almost over. Where did it go? It seems that it was just Thanksgiving…
Super Bowl Sunday and all it’s excesses is also upon us. Can you believe Kurt Warner gets to play in another Super Bowl??? Donovan McNabb is not a happy camper. But what should he expect if he can’t get it done.
Speaking of Getting it Done, TacoLu has a new, incredible fish taco–it’s Grouper, it’s big and it’s Delish. Fits right in with the $10 taco and the Bangin’ Shrimp…if you haven’t been Bangin at the Lu, you need to get your you-know-what together…
There are a lot of changes going on at the Lu… It’s going to be a great Spring (even though winter just started)!
see ya.
