Things have been happening so quickly that I have hardly had time to post anything before another event at TacoLu goes down.

First of all: We made it! Finally we made it onto the reader board at Angie’s. For those of you who don’t know, it’s complicated, but HILARIOUS at the same time. It’s cool, too, trust me:

Most importantly, we had a couple of birthdays. Mitch Kaufmann turned 50 and gets his AARP card; Marisa turned 21 and can’t wait to be carded…

In the last week we’ve had days in the 80s and days in the 30s. Ben and Nicole seem to get in the water no matter what the temp to surf….so do Lucy and Henry, but just to play!!

Since we gave away the PBR skateboard, the Dirty Sanchez still rocks on–will it replace the Irish Car Bomb as the shot to have at the bar? (note: TacoLu does not have an irish, or mexican car bomb)

The following pics are from Mitch Kaufmann’s birthday. There was a huge party for Mitch on Saturday at the American Legion Post, and it was huge, but this party was a smaller event. It was supposed to be a surprised, but Mitch surprised everyone by coming in the back door and surprising all of us.

There was a Video presentation with video “testimonials”, shout outs and great stories from local legends as well as the big guys, like Shawn Tompson and Peter Townend (both of whom have been here at the Lu). There were clips from “The Radical Side”, a show Mitch Pioneered back in the day and traveled all over the world to report back to the surfers here at the beach!
